Are you overwhelmed with life sometimes, weary from situations that take a toll on your peace of mind? Life comes with all sorts of ups and downs…the human spirit can become fatigued and frustrated with it all. Constant changes in different seasons of life are challenging to say the least. But you can find true soul peace if you open your life to faith. Hope is a treasure chest just waiting to be opened.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble but take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
These words were spoken by Jesus before He would go to the cross and die for the sins of the world. He knew the assignment to rescue humanity from the enemy of our souls. The enemy (thief) comes to steal, kill and destroy according to John 10:10, Jesus went on to say, “but I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. He then says, “I am the good shepherd and lay down my life for my sheep.”
In looking back on my life, I seemed to always be searching for something to satisfy my soul. Happiness is so fleeting, it comes and goes based upon what’s going on in life. In my personal experience I thought it would be found in a relationship with another person, a soulmate. Unfortunately, I never seen what a healthy relationship looked like as I was growing up. I eventually settled for what seemed right at the time. Heartbreak was the usual result for me.
In my search I found true soul peace in Jesus Christ and His love for me. There is no greater love than in Him. It’s been a journey of hope, faith and love that I continue to this day. I encourage you to take courage in your journey to find all that God has for your life! He offers a peace that passes all human understanding that is not dictated by what’s going on in life’s current circumstances.
This song is what I found to be true in my life…God creates a symphony of beauty out of chaos. He did it for me and can do it for you too. Listen and open your heart to the One who loves you more than your heart can imagine.
